Don't do it Mr Cameron - Leave Mr & Mrs alone!!!!

Mr Cameron

You are infringing my Human Rights and the rights of millions of other married couples.

I am not a religious person but I married my wife in church and was pleased that I had made this commitment and as husband and wife are now in our 43rd year of marriage.

Mr & Mrs Cameron are you not proud to be a married couple, are you not husband and wife, if you personally can give these things up lightly, may I suggest asking Mrs Cameron her opinion.

These are titles that are much loved and been in existence forever and cannot be dismissed casually, my wife and I are not just partners we are husband and wife and always will be, ask the nation even I know what the opinion would be.

I am sure gay couples would like to make a commitment in a ceremony within the church but not to infringe on the right of others to maintain their titles of Mr & Mrs, Husband &Wife, Bride and Groom.

Gay couples could have an option to make a Solemn pledge to each other before God with a commitment to Love and Cherish each other until death do they part but as they can't be man and wife would they really like to have our titles removed from documents for ever.

What would Gay couples themselves like to be titled after making a commitment by marriage, I am sure they have given this much thought and would realise they can't infringe on the rights of others to keep their titles.

I also object as with others that the term partner on forms that need to be completed as offensive to all married couples as we are not partners but husband and wife after taking our vows.

Please Mr Cameron - Ask the 'Nation' what they want!!!

Retirement Party

Well, the party's over.

It was a great night we had about 30 guests who all needed to be put up after the party and as it was held at my daughters which is just around the corner from our house she put here rooms to good use and everyone else had to walk round to our house.

We had 3 bedrooms spare and filled these and had lilo's in the lounge and dinning room, we managed quite well.

Breakfast was a long drawn out affair as we didn't get to bed until 3.00am and it took a long while for everyone to get up and eat.

No one then seemed to want to go, our last guests did not go until after tea, wow! we where shattered and went to bed early.

Monday was my birthday 65 years old and we had to start the big clear up, I was taking down the lights, party tent, gazebo and dance floor collecting all the chairs and borrowed tables, loading them into the car, delivering them to their owners and the rest storing in our garage.

Kathryn was busy washing up, clearing up and tidying away the bedding and quilts etc. we were shattered but hey! it was a good party!!! we had another early night and slept solid, can't wait for the next do, hope someone else is putting it on though.

Today been busy getting ready to go away in the caravan, going to Morgan Porth on Thursday with our granddaughter, taking the wet suits and body boards, Kathryn has been busy ironing and getting things together ready to put into caravan. I've been to our caravan storage site with water and a ladder and washed the van, put in the leisure battery and check the tyres everything ready to rumble!!!

Just a few jobs to do tomorrow and we should be ready for the off, hoping the weather holds up and we will finally be able to relax, wind down and have a good time.

We will put some pictures up of the hols when we return.

By for now!!!!

Getting ready to party

Today I went round to my daughters to prepair for the weekend retirement party, cut the lawns trimmed the edges and strimmed back the borders.
Must say it looks a lot better, couldn't find a brush so will need to go back tomorrow to finish the job.

Came back home at lunchtime and my daughter Kerry came round to see if my wife was going to Sutton Coldfield, well off they went, feeling sticky after my mornings labour I went in the shower and got changed. Not bad this retirement I now have some free time.

I really don't fully understand about blogging as I have just uploaded a photo and edited my profile, I was asked to list blogs I am following but where are these blogs I have never read one!!!

Is anyone really out there reading this? if so please let me know and tell me where I can find your blog I would be interested to find out if I am going about it the right way.

Kathryn as just returned from shopping and did you know Sainsbury's still do not have any oatmeal!!!! read this and take note Sainsbury's I have just told the world.

Well, tomorrow I will be going round to my daughters to finish cleaning up the garden and I will be putting up the gazebo and party tent with a little help from my friends (wife and middle daughter Kerry) she is on holiday from work this week.

It's all happening, but must say though my knee is playing up I could hardly walk down the stairs I have put on a knee bandage it's got to be OK for bopping at the weekend.

Well whoever may be reading this I am off now, might put some more on tomorrow.

Well here goes,

I am not sure what this is all about, will anyone be interested enough to read this, will it be interesting to anyone else. Who knows!!!

I am officially retired having been given the old send off from work and spent the B&Q voucher I received from colleages and friends on feather edge board to reclad my shed, must say it now looks like new.

What next, well we a have a retirement party to organise this weekend at my daughters house, she as a conservatory and ideal for the big bash, it should be a good do with good music, good food and good company.

My daughter is busy picking out the music from our CD collection all blasts from the past can't wait to get down and dirty.

I have been laying the dance floor today and tomorrow I will be getting the garden into shape ready for the gazebo and party tent!! WOW

Wifes busy she is up to her eyes in it, so much to do and organise, last count we have about 40 family and friends coming and all live a few miles away so need putting up, can't have them drinking and driving can we.

Well thats all for now don't know how to post pictures yet but will put some on soon.

Cheers.
